This man is amazing... London, Jul 2 (ANI): When Oz man Nick Vujicic was born without arms or legs, his own parents could not bare to look at him or even hold him. His own father left the hospital room to vomit, and his distraught mother didn't hold him until he was four months old. "My mother was a nurse and she did everything right during pregnancy but she still blamed herself," the Sun quoted him as saying. But for the 26-year-old, who tried to commit suicide by drowning himself in the bath at age 10, giving up on life was not something he wanted and has embraced it fully with the help of his family and friends. Vujicic, from Melbourne, enjoys everything other lads his age do - playing football, swimming, and surfing, and while doctors know the condition is caused by a rare occurrence called Phocomelia, not much else is known about why it happened to him. But from an early age, Nick was determined to make his life better. "It was so hard for them but right from the start they did their best to make me independent," he recalled. "My dad put me in the water at 18 months and gave the courage to learn how to swim. "I also got really into football and skateboarding. I totally love the English Premier League," he said. Although the majority of his body is torso, he has a small foot at the bottom of one hip, which helps him in everyday life. Determined Nick uses it to type, hold a pen to write and pick things up between his toes. His father was a computer programmer who taught him how to type with his toe aged just six. ujicic started feeling encouraged about life at the age of 13, after he read a newspaper article about a disabled man. "I was 13 and read a newspaper article about a disabled man who had managed to achieve great things and help others," he said. The footie fan is now a motivational speaker, and has travelled to over 24 countries speaking to roups of up to 110,000 people. "I realised why God had made us like this - to give hope to others. It was so inspirational to me that I decided to use my life to encourage other people and give them the courage that the article had given me," he said. "I decided to be thankful for what I do have, not get angry about what I don't. "I looked at myself in the mirror and said: 'You know what the world is right that I have no arms or legs, but they'll never take away the beauty of my eyes'. "I wanted to concentrate on something good that I had," he added. moreOpen Question: What's the coolest computer brand?

I am currently working at a job where I am allowed to just surf the web all day everyday (Min. wage though) I have an A.A. degree and am fairly computer literate. I put this question here because no one is ever in the surfing section and this is where the most people are :) I am 16 (f) 5'10 and i'm really trying to get good at surfing so i can do well on my school team next year. I have a 7'6 board and a 6'5 board. I've been learning on my 7'6 board and it's a little difficult but i can stand up for a few seconds (i've only taken it out once so far). My problem is I can't go surfing as much as i want because i cant fit my 7'6 board in my car so i have to rely on my friends and their parents with suv's. Because of this I only go surfing about once a week. I have heard some of my good surfer friends tell me that they learned how to surf on a short board. I was wondering if because i only have two months before season starts to get good, would it be smarter for me to learn to surf on a short board because I can go out more often because I can fit it easily in my car? I really wanted to be able to ride a short board by season as well. Thanks! p.s. i could go surfing everyday as opposed to the once a week i can go now if i learned on my short board. moreVoting Question: Surf question...PLEASE ANSWER!?

Hmm ... I Google'd this question once and found someone that did something like this on yahoo answers and it really came to my interest when i saw how many things i could relate to him. Yea, I do feel as if life sucks like hell. I dont have many friends. 3 years ago, I've been surfing the net for a game to play and found a MMO( massive multiplayer online) game. and now I play it every single day like i have no life to make online friends. I'm filled with stress everyday. It just keeps stacking and stacking like i could blow up one day. I do think about suicide sometimes when I get extremely "emo". but nah thats retarded. I really do wish there was a button that could end life for me. Imagine if it was so, I'd have no more stress on my hands and nothing more to care about. Or wish that i could sleep tonight and never wake to see the next day of misery. I have problems in life because of not having friends, being shy, afraid to begin learning to drive, getting my first girlfriend, getting my first job, worrying about college and family. I dunno what the hell to do anymore. People tell me i can change but it could be the biggest leap of my life. Im afraid to do anything at all. Believe it or not, i even made a girlfriend in an online game and i even cried when she dumped me. How lame can i get? I also have a problem with my family because there is no love in it but inside, we all do care for it. My parents have divorced because my mom cheated on dad with some fag. Due to that, my Dad started a fight at work and now he has no job. My mom secretly married the new guy without anyone knowing and now i start to hear arguements between them. Yea, I hate life very much. What should I do? moreVoting Question: I want to start learning how to surf?

I’d say go for it, but first make sure you have the necessary skills and qualifications. As you may have been told, you must at least have taken recognized courses which include water activities and have a track record in it. You do have, right? You’ll have to go canoeing, as well as other exercises, so make sure you are ready for them: (strength, techniques and stamina involved!). You’ll also be asked to be fluent in English: you’ll have to make yourself understood! As for what the job is about, there are several tasks to do. At first, there is a lot of paperwork, which absorbs all the time, so you must be very patient to bear it. Anyway, after a week comes the most rewarding weeks of all: you’ll meet people from various nationalities and you’ll interact with them permanently. It’s incredible how quickly English gets better! Having fun while learning some of others’ customs and behavior is an awesome experience that shouldn’t be missed! Days after, you must prepare a presentation for important English visitors, under the pressure of a short time and your boss, who you meet during those days, and is not as friendly as your colleagues.
